Filiz Gida A. S. is the biggest and main pasta producer in Turkey . Filiz was established in Bolu in 1974 . The association of Filiz Gida with Barilla in 1994, which is one of the world giants in pasta business, carried Filiz to be one of the leaders in pasta market. Since 2003 Barilla G. e. R Fratelli fully owns Filiz Gida turned to be the market leader with its great production capacity and with its modern production plant, research and development technology in pasta sector.
The importance of quality in Filiz was approved by ISO 9002 certificate in 1994 and ISO 9001:2000 in 2003 by TSE (Turkish Standard Institution) . Filiz also have HACCP Certificate from DNV. Filiz gained the ‘’Quality Award 2004’’ in Sial / Paris.
Filiz chooses the best quality Durum wheat in Turkey. The quality Durum wheat is processed in Filiz by using Barilla production specifications and know-how.
Filiz produces pasta, which doesn't get doughy and sticky. (Al-dente) There are various types of pasta produced, totally 20 cuts for Plain pasta, 10 cuts Enriched pasta ( with spinach, tomato, milk, bran and vitamin enriched) , 4 cuts Kid’s pasta, 2 cuts for Egg pasta , 13 cuts catering pasta, cracked wheat and semolina.
